Henry Simpson grew up in Southern California and currently lives in Monterey. He studied engineering, did graduate work in English and Psychology, worked as a research psychologist, engineer, and writer, and served in the Marine Corps. He has published fiction, scholarship, and technical works on many subjects. His fiction is character-based and usually has a subtext: flimflammery in the arts and religion, the upside and downside of genius, abuse of political power, the unsettled nature of reality, horrors of the corporate workplace, achieving the American dream, a prodigal son’s disastrous return, finding one’s place in a new world, is criminality ever justified?
